This already sounds sweet.
And I know in the synopsis said that the other brothers want to shut down the knitting shop but I feel like they're gonna end up wanting to keep it open like Jesse too.

I don't know if this is going to be a companion series but from the looks of the synopsis about the brothers, it might be. Anyway this is like a breathe of fresh air from romance (concept-wise). And I want some family moments so I hope I get to read some.

SWEET TEMPTATION
by Cora Reilly

Although the two main characters appeared and first introduced in Cora's The Camorra Chronicles series, this can be read as a standalone and... it's also a standalone. But still, the world is that of The Camorra Chronicles and Born in Blood Mafia Chronicles aka Cora's mafia romance books.

I've been waiting for their book ever since I found out they were getting a book since I love Giulia and I've been curious about her relationship with Cassio ever since they made their appearance in the Camorra series. It also got some of my all-time favorite tropes: marriage of convenience, the grumpy character with the sunshine character, and single parent (dad). It's also an older man/younger woman trope, just a heads-up. If that's not your cup of tea (it's not mine too), that's alright.

I really enjoyed this and I'll be reviewing this soon.

I did not know this was ADULT. I've been looking for some ADULT FANTASY books and this one sounds really good. I mean, it's also labeled as HORROR so it's a win for me. And would you look at that cover? IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL.. and so HQ.

RUTHLESS KING
(Kings of Rittenhouse, #3) by Maya Hughes

I'm reading Maya Hughes' books starting with the Kings of Rittenhouse series because of the following reasons:
• I always see my Twitter mutuals talk about her characters and I didn't know who they were until they mentioned her name and well, I wanted to explore other authors' books
• I miss reading some college romance.
• I also miss sports romance ESPECIALLY HOCKEY (I love hockey)
• It's college + hockey so.....

Anyway this one was pretty enjoyable even though the plot that supported the trope wasn't something new to me. But still, the second-chance romance trope is one of my favorites and it played well here. I like how both characters were actually aware of their issues (trust issues) and were trying to solve it even though communication was kinda hard to grasp between them. I'll be making a series review for this once book 5 is out so I won't say much more.



I'm supposed to be reading Every Other Weekend but the moment this got released, I had to have it. AND READ IT. I mean, I've been waiting for Dominic and Rosie's book since Fix Her Up. I've been curious about their relationship too and what's going to happen to their marriage.

So far, I'm interested.. but I won't put my expectations too high yet since this one started rocky for me. We'll see.



FEARLESS KING
(Kings of Rittenhouse, #4) by Maya Hughes

I know I said I was supposed to read Every Other Weekend but I also said I was reading Maya Hughes' book and since 4 books were already out for her Rittenhouse Series and I just had a reading-marathon with the first three books, I was supposed to pick this one up next. However, I was having a problem syncing my Amazon account with my Kindle and welp, some of my books weren't showing.

I have an awful lot of stuff going on with my life right now besides catching up with reading and blogging. I'm currently designing some things (one is for work and the other is for some bookish Instagram thing) at the moment it's why I'm kind of inactive in replying/commenting on your posts.

Another reason is because of school. I HATE MY CURRENT SCHEDULE. We get dismissed from Tuesday to Friday at 6PM (classes start at 8AM for me). I suddenly have a Saturday class AGAIN because one of my profs got another class at another university with the same schedule as ours so she can't be in two places at once. I really thought I finally have Saturday off for this semester but guess not. A big reason why I need the whole Saturday free is because we have A LOT of major subjects and most of them require so much time (editing, designing, all the plates I keep talking about here you name it). I'm just glad this is a minor subject but... ALDFJLAKFL *continues to smash keyboard* I have so many appointments (not school-related) on Saturdays and I don't know how to I'll be able to manage all of them yet.

Love me a pretty cover.

Honestly, the cover was the one that caught my eye first. I'm suddenly hearing Sia singing Chandelier just looking at it. It's really pretty. The blurb caught my attention AND interest second. Plus it deals with magic. MAGIC. I've been reading a ton of romance this year so next year I might dive in for more fantasy because I *whispers* kinda miss the genre. I do wanna read adult fantasy but since this is YA, I'll just deal.

I've been adding a ton of upcoming new books to my TBR lately and I was planning on giving a twist to today's Can't Wait Wednesday but I figured that it's too much work so I'll do it another time or in a separate post.

One of my talents include me adding a bunch of books to my TBR when I'd likely end up not reading 80% of them anyway because I always pick up the books I'm most excited for to read first then get into a slump which is for sure bound to happen if the book's good.

I'm actually happy that this isn't a royal-family kind of theme...? (I don't know how to properly label that) I'm not really fond of those themes/tropes so this is good. For me.

I LOVE THRILLER/MYSTERY BOOKS. I love the feeling of the thrill (lol obviously since it's "thriller"). The blurb reminds me of Karen M. McManus' One of Us Is Lying (I loved this book) and the horror movie, Jigsaw.. maybe the 2017 version. I literally had to search what horror movie it was that this reminds me of because I was pretty sure this was close to The Escape Room (2019) too though I haven't watched that yet. A bit of like The Purge movies too and The Killing Room (2009) and The Saw movies. Jigsaw was the better fit for me. I enjoy watching horror movies but not to the point where I can say I'm a fan of it.

Anyway, this is the author's debut novel and I'm so interested.

The Winds of Winter is the forthcoming sixth novel in the epic fantasy series A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin.

The previous installment, A Dance with Dragons, covered less story than Martin intended, omitting at least one planned large battle sequence and leaving several character threads ending in cliffhangers. Martin intends to resolve these cliffhangers "very early" in The Winds of Winter, saying "I'm going to open with the two big battles that I was building up to, the battle in the ice and the battle at Meereen—the battle of Slaver's Bay. And then take it from there."

I have no idea when the publication date is but this was listed in a 2020 list for upcoming fantasy books. But really.. there's no release date, even year, written in Goodreads and I don't keep up on what GRRM tweets.

Anyway. I AM EXCITED. I've caught up to the series which was a pretty big deal for me because  ASOIAF wasn't easy to get through. Especially if you're reading with the paperback editions in which I did in my case. The font size was too small for me but for some reason, I got hooked. 

The TV show, however, wasn't all that amazing for me. I was fond of it when they were still going with the books but the moment they became independent (I mean, they had to since GRRM wasn't releasing another ASOIAF book any time soon and HBO needed that cash), I wasn't interested anymore. I won't even talk about how the last season was so underwhelming that the actors themselves weren't even satisfied with how it ended.

MARRIAGE IN CRISIS TROPE? SIGN ME UP! I really enjoyed Fix Her Up and Rosie was such a sweetheart in the that book. Her marriage with Dominic was so intriguing for me and I could feel the hurt and pain even through Georgie's POV. So I'm really excited for this one!

I just want another siren book and here it is. I love mermaid/siren stories and I love how this mythical creature's story is fantasy mixed with mystery in this book. Lately I've been into Young Adult thriller/mystery and I like how this time, it's gonna be about sirens.
