I've always wanted to read Hex Hall but I never got to it for some unknown reason. And while I was cleaning up my TBR, I saw it and thought if I should or should not bother anymore. Same goes for Meet Cute.


I haven't read Lola and the Boy Next Door in so long but it's one of my favorite YA contemporaries. And also Listen to Your Heart. Plus look at that cover. Summer-ish.

Zafira from We Hunt the Flame and Kiara from The Camorra Chronicles!! I love these ladies who know what to fight for and have great character development.

I think people know how much I love Sydney Sage so of course, that connects to the Bloodlines Series. And people do know how much I love Lauren Layne's books.


These are two of my favorites when I was a kid. Are You My Mother? was just full of illustrations and the baby bird asking everyone "are you my mother?" because he was looking for his mom lol it was really cute. I was like 3 or 4 years old when my mom read this book to me. The other is The Berenstain Bears and the Pumpkin. My kiddie heart was amused by this book because this was a low-key mystery book.


I'm sad for other reasons. The Grishaverse all and all, I fell out of love with this series. And Allegiant? Yeah, this book ruined the Divergent Trilogy for me.

Recently, I read The City of Brass and I LOOOVEEE Nahri and Dara. I mean, they're not official yet but I ship it and I will go down with it. ALSO JUNEDAY from the Legend Series!!! Someone from Twitter tweeted about Juneday with this song but made it "I like shiny things but I'd marry you with paper(clip) rings"... and I almost wept.


I saw these books around a lot either on Goodreads and in the blogosphere but I didn't know anything about them aside from the basics. Red, White & Royal Blue and One of Us Is Lying were so worth the read.


THE STILETTO AND OXFORD FAM'S RELATIONSHIP WAS SO BEAUTIFUL AND ENJOYABLE TO READ AND I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S OVER. The Oxford Series is literally one of the few spin-offs I love so much that did justice to the characters of its prequel, the Sex, Love & Stiletto Series. I love the character interactions and relationships between the characters of the two series so much.
My OG London Boy aka William Owen Herondale from The Infernal Devices Trilogy. And if I remember correctly, the Precious Stones Trilogy was also set in London. I haven't read the books in forever.

YOU NEED TO CALM DOWN (an LGBTQ+ book you'd gladly recommend)
Another recent read.. or reads. Dating Sarah Cooper and Colorblind. I'm loving Siera Maley's books so I'm interested to read more of her works.

Say You Still Love Me and From Lukov With Love. I know a lot of people loved these books and while I do like the authors, these books weren't just "it".


I'd really love to befriend Annabeth Chase and Nico de Angelo from Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Also the ladies from The Lunar Chronicles.

I wasn't sure of this because this was quite a long book but I flew through A Thousand Splendid Suns. For The Piper's Son, I wasn't sure of this because Marchetta's books are usually challenging to read but this was so worth it and became one of my favorite books.



BONUS: Favorite Taylor Swift Album
I'm torn between Speak Now and 1989 but but BUT... Lover is slowly becoming a favorite too because I have more than 5 favorite tracks from the album and that says a LOT.

We Are Never Ever, Ever Getting Back Together 
(a book/series you were pretty sure you loved but then wanted to break up with): A Court Of Thorns and Roses Series by Sarah J. Maas. I loved and enjoyed the first two books but fell out of love with it.

Red 
(a book with a red cover): The Wrath & the Dawn by Renée Ahdieh. ACOTAR also fits for this.

The Best Day 
(a book that makes you feel nostalgic): Percy Jackson and the Olympians by Rick Riordan. I love this series a lot.

Love Story 
(a book with forbidden love): Lady Midnight (The Dark Artifices, #1) by Cassandra Clare. Emma and Julian? Parabatais falling in love? *dramatic gasp* SCANDALOUS. Though I don't know if it's like that the whole series since I haven't read the second and third book. And most couples in CC's Shadowhunter books are pretty much forbidden anyway.

I Knew You Were Trouble 
(a book with a bad character you couldn’t help but love): Luca Vitiello from Born in Blood Mafia Chronicles by Cora Reilly. This is his POV novella/book since Bound by Honor was told in Aria's POV aka his wife. Anyway, he's Capo of the Vitiello mafia family. He's worse than trouble. He's killed someone by crushing their throat with bare hands :D

Innocent 
(a book that someone ruined the ending for): I don't have one for this as far as I can remember.... people have spoiled things for me but not not the ending directly.

Everything Has Changed 
(a book with a character who goes through extensive character development): Lily Calloway and Loren Hale from the Addicted Series by Krista and Becca Ritchie. The loves of my life and I'm so incredibly proud of them. I could write a whole essay of how much they mean to me, how proud I am of them, how much they make me happy, how much I love them, etc. Seriously we could be here all day.

You Belong With Me 
(my most anticipated book release): Love Her or Lose Her (Hot & Hammered, #2) by Tessa Bailey. I'm excited for the marriage inconvenience trope.

Forever and Always 
(my favorite book couple): I have a lot of favorites though but let me give this to Riley Mckenna and Sam Compton from Sex, Love & Stiletto Series by Lauren Layne. They're my favorite from the series.

Begin Again
(a series that deserves a second chance): Knitting in the City Series by Penny Reid. I wasn't that into the first book as much as I hoped I would but I still do want to continue the series for some reason.

Wonderland 
(a book that features your favorite fictional world): The world in The Lumatere Chronicles by Melina Marchetta. I love the world-building Marchetta created.

Last Kiss
(a series that you’re not ready to let go, even though it ended): Not because I'm obsessed with this series or it's a favorite but more like I don't want to let The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater go yet because it felt like it needed a better final book. The events in the fourth book was honestly just underwhelming for me. It deserves better and I know it could be better but well, it ended. 

Clean
(a series where you’re glad it’s over): MmmMmMmMmm... nothing comes to mind. If I don't like a series, I wouldn't continue wasting my time reading the rest of the books anyway. Plus if there IS a series I'm glad it's over, it's not really over OVER. Like a few months or years later, the author would announce another book coming out.

Wildest Dreams 
(your favorite fictional guy–it’s preferred but he doesn’t have to be a bad boy): I have a lot of favorite fictional guys but let me give this to Adrian Everhart from the Renegades Series by Marissa Meyer. I have a soft spot for him and he's actually one of the sweetest guys YA could offer.

Enchanted
(a book you found by chance that you ended up loving): The Curse Workers Series by Holly Black. I don't remember how I stumbled on this series but I really enjoyed it and I love Holly Black's writing.

All You Had to Do Was Stay 
(a book you didn’t finish that you wish you had given another chance): The Descendants by Joan He. I DNF-ed so early because I wasn't feeling it. I don't know though if I'll give another chance but we'll see.

Teardrops on My Guitar 
(a book that made me cry a lot): "cry a lot " is a stretch but All Your Perfects by Colleen Hoover really did made me tear up. This book was just so emotionally heavy and the Graham's letters? That added more to the waterworks. 

Shake it Off 
(a book I love so much that I just shake off the haters): Hmmm.. I don't have one I think. I'm trying my hardest to remember but nothing comes to mind.

Blank Space 
(my favorite autographed book): Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins. The book's really special because it's The Reason I enjoyed contemporary romance and it's also the first book that I got autographed. And my first book signing! 

Today was a Fairy Tale 
(my favorite retelling): One of my favorites is Stain by A.G. Howard. This is a retelling of Princess and the Pea!

WELCOME TO NEW YORK (a book with LGBT themes): Recently read Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston. Alex and Henry went from "are we nemesis" dorks to "maybe we're friends" to "ok so news is that i love you". 

"You can tell me when it's over if the high was worth the pain."
BLANK SPACE (a book that hit you right in the feels... but was totally worth it): Another recent read is The Simple Wild by K.A. Tucker. I've only read three books by this author so far but this is my favorite and the one that hit in the feels.

"The rest of the world is black and white, but we're in screaming color."
OUT OF THE WOODS (a book which had vivid world-building): The Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins. The districts! The Capitol! The entirety of Panem! The arena! I had a THG phase back then.

"I'm a nightmare dressed like a daydream."
BLANK SPACE (a book you hated... but loved the cover): Hate's a strong word but anyway, it's Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell. I had issues with this book.

"The haters gonna hate."
SHAKE IT OFF (a book or series that everyone seems to love but you can't help but hate): I don't hate this series but it's something I don't want to remember and it's the Divergent Trilogy by Veronica Roth.

"I've got a blank space baby, and I'll write your name."
BLANK SPACE (your latest book boyfriend/girlfriend): Another Blank Space song lol alright, I got Kiara Falcone here from The Camorra Chronicles by Cora Reilly. This series is a spin-off of Born in Blood Mafia Chronicles and Kiara here is Luca's cousin. I. LOVE. HER. Her character development is one of the great things I've read in this series and I can't wait to read more of her in Twisted Bonds (and yes, she's the lovely lady in red on the cover)

"I wish you knew I'll never forget you as long as I live."
I WISH YOU WOULD (a book or series you know you will always love): The Infernal Devices Trilogy by Cassandra Clare. The London Institute fam forever lives in my heart even though I haven't talked about them in so long.

"I can see the end as it begins."
WILDEST DREAMS (a book or series you wish could have gone on forever): Gone on forever is another stretch but I do like reading more of these characters from Lauren Layne's Sex, Love and Stiletto Series and its spin-off the Oxford Series. I love reading how characters from both series actually have bonds with each other. It's such a fun and loving group.

01. First romance you remember reading: I don't remember a specific title but I do remember during the early days of me discovering romance books that I read ones by Nicholas Sparks. I just put Dear John there for randomness.

02. Last romance you read: Fumbled (Playbook, #2) by Alexa Martin

The romance you are most likely to recommend to a newbie: For YA, I would recommend one of the books that really made me love contemporary romance and one of my early reads as well and that is Anna and the French Kiss by  Stephanie Perkins. For NA/Adult, I would recommend Hotshot  Doc by R.S. Grey.

04. The romance you are most likely to recommend to another romance reader: Archer's Voice by Mia Sheridan because it's packed with sweetness and it's quite heavy on the emotional side. Also Shameless by  Lex Martin. It's a quick, light, and sweet read.

05. An underrated romance you wish more people would read: I keep mentioning this book and I don't know how underrated it is but I hardly see people talk about  this book or any of this author's books. It's Forever Right Now by Emma Scott. It's a really good book that tackled stigma on recovering addicts, family, and dreams. I love it so much. Just check out Emma Scott's books.They're wonderful.




06. An overrated romance you wish people would stop talking about: I don't have any actually... I won't be mentioning any romance book that got adapted into movies though. I mean there are books that people keep talking about but I see the same people talk and talk about it so  I wouldn't say it's overrated because it just looks like a group of friends gushing over the same book/series.

08. An author you used to love that you’ve since abandoned: Abbi Glines. I'm not that fond of her latest releases anymore but I will always have a special place in my hear for the Rosemary Beach Series (Grant and  Harlow are my favorites) and the Sea Breeze Series (Marcus and Low for this one). Also Krista and Becca Ritchie. The Addicted Series also resides in my heart and I will always, ALWAYS, love the ensemble especially Lily Calloway and Loren Hale. I just don't fancy reading their post-Addicted works anymore.

09. Favourite trope: I have so many. Some of them are best-friends to lovers, enemies to lovers or hate to love, fake dating/marriage, and marriage of inconvenience or marriage on the rocks.

10. Best book with your favorite trope: All Your Perfects for marriage on the rocks, The  Deal (Off-Campus, #1) for fake dating and it's lowkey enemies to lovers and also best friends to lovers. The pace and development of Hannah and Garrett's relationship was one of my favorites to read. Filthy Gods (American Gods, #0.5) by  R. Scarlett for enemies to lovers, Love, Life and the List by Kasie West for best friends to lovers.




11. A book you didn’t like even though it has your favourite trope: Bound by Hatred (Born in Blood Mafia  Chronicles, #3) by  Cora Reilly has the hate to love trope but I swear,  I was so annoyed with the heroine that it took out all my energy in reading. Silk and Shadows (The Virgin Diaries, #3) by Lauren Landish has the smart girl in the class tutoring the popular jock trope and that's kind of one of my favorites too but this was just eh.. NOT IT for me.

12. Most hated trope: Love triangles. It annoys me when a book has this trope and it's so obvious who's the hero/heroine going to end up with. Like why waste my time with unnecessary drama? I'd always end up feeling bad for the one who doesn't get the HEA even though they're not my pick of who the hero/heroine will end up with. Also cheating. That's another trope I hate.

13. A book you liked even though it has the trope you hate: Guilty pleasure read would be Undeniably You by  Jewel E. Ann. It has the cheating trope *hides* I don't even know why I bother... there's also All Your Perfects by Colleen Hoover. That book made me cry, okay.

14. Your problematic favourite: Pretty Venom (Gray Springs University, #3) by Ella Fields and again, it has a cheating trope so you can see why it's problematic. But then, the author already had a note before you read the book for the kind of mess this book is going to be so at least there's that. Well, I still read it... and enjoyed it. I loved the drama for some reason and how the hero was wallowing in misery lol.

15. A book everyone else loved that has you scratching your head: I don't really bother with what people read and if they like it or not as long as they remain civil and respectful. I'm not scratching my head for these but I'm one of the fewer people (I'm probably the 1%) who wasn't all that fond of it. Pretty Reckless (All Saints High, #1) by L.J. Shen, The Unhoneymooners by  Christina Lauren *hides again*, and Sempre (Sempre, #1) by J.M. Darhower. 16. Your favourite romancelandia person to follow on twitter: Rheeza (this book tag was based on her tweet) because her taste in romance books is *chef's kiss*. I don't follow a lot of of people on twitter and the bookish people that I do follow, I love seeing their tweets on my timeline. I get the latest romance updates from some of them and some recommendations from the other.

17. A place or person you go for recommendations or review: Nicolette from Falling Over Books is my source for romance reads in the booktube community. Alba and Her Secrets from Twitter (this should be in #16 too). The rest, Goodreads.

18. A book that has a character that reminds you of yourself: Georgie Castle from Fix Her Up by Tessa Bailey. I connect with her when it comes to being happy and doing what you're passionate about yet people don't take you seriously or would look down on what you do. 

19. Romance cover you love: For those who don't know yet, I'm obsessed with pretty cover arts. This was hard for me and I had to restrain myself from posting a whole lot of book covers. For here we got Save the Date by Morgan Matson, If I'm Being Honest by Emily Wibberley and Austin Siegemund-Broka, The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang, and Listen to Me (Fusion, #1) by Kristen Proby.

20. A book you’ve reread more than twice: Twisted Emotions (The Camorra Chronicles, #2) by Cora Reilly. I love Nino and Kiara so much. Definitely my favorite couple by this author. Hard Sell (21 Wall Street, #2) by Lauren Layne. Matt and Sabrina are like oil and water and I love it.




21. Best romance audiobook: I haven't listened to one yet.

22. Best romance/rom-com movie: Best is too much of a stretch but these are some of the romance movies I enjoy though. I don't know if I can categorize Kimi no Na Wa (Your Name) as romance but it does play a part in and it will always be special to me. The art style is so beautiful I wanted to cry (I actually did... over an art style). And the soundtrack was also cry-worthy especially how the songs' lyrics match up with the scene is assigned to it. Pride and Prejudice stayed with me for years. Confessions of a Shopaholic is a favorite of mine and my mom's. I've never read the books though.

23. Favourite heroine: Lily Martha Calloway-Hale from the Addicted Series. Also her baby girl, Luna Hale. I love them both entirely. There's also Trinity Lynn Marrow from a recent read, The Harbinger Series by Jennifer L. Armentrout. I'd fight anyone for her. And my all-time favorite fictional witch aka the love of my life in the fictional world, Sydney Katherine Sage-Ivashkov from the Bloodlines Series by Richelle Mead.

24. Favourite hero: Loren Hale, my darling taco-loving boy and Marvel elitist from the Addicted Series. Cameron Hamilton from the Wait for You Series by Jennifer L. Armentrout. It is a tie between If I'm Being Honest by Emily Wibberly and Austin Siegemund-Broka and Storm and Fury by Jennifer L. Armentrout. I've had a hard time picking one so I just picked them both.

I've reread both books like three-four times. YES. I DID THAT. I love the characters, the world, the dynamic between the main characters and their relationships as well with the minor characters. Everything about these books just made me love them. I mean yeah, I got some moments where I'm "Hmmmm...." but the good ones outweigh the parts that made me sigh and shake my head by a long shot.

They're both so captivating that I can't wait for the second installment of The Harbinger series. I'm also interested in reading more of Emily Wibberley and Austin Seigemund-Broka's books.






Another tie and this one is between Twisted Emotions by Cora Reilly and Hard Sell by Lauren Layne.

Lauren Layne is one of my favorite authors and Hard Sell was a perfect sequel to Hot Asset, the first book in the 21 Wall Street series (or trilogy, I don't know). I love frenemies dynamic The only sad thing here is that the book's too short for me.

Twisted Emotions is also another sequel I love and it's my favorite in The Camorra Chronicles series. I love how the author wrote and dealt with two very opposite characters both scarred by their pasts and getting through that trauma together.






I'm so eager to read these books

• The Locker Room by Meghan Quinn
• Savaged by Mia Sheridan
• Faking Ms. Right by Claire Kingsley

I loved and enjoyed Mia Sheridan's books so I'm excited for this one.

I've seen Meghan Quinn's books in my Goodreads timeline for a while now but I've yet to read one of her books. And I think Claire Kingsley's book is part of a series.

And here's a sequel I'm dying to get to.

I loved Shadow of the Fox, first installment of the series, and I'm excited to read Soul of the Sword by Julie Kagawa. I've had this book since its release but never got into reading it because there were so many other books I wanted to read and I had a TBR I wanted to accomplish.






I've posted 10 books I want to read for the second-half of 2019 in my TOP TEN TUESDAY so I won't be posting the same books here.

Say You Still Love Me by K.A. Tucker and The Storm Crow by Kalyn Josephson are two of my most anticipated reads. A second-chance romance and a YA fantasy that sounds really good to land on my TBR.



This is also the year I've been reading L.J. Shen's books. I've recently just read her Sinners of Saint series and the first book of her All Saints High series, a spin-off of Sinners of Saint. Broken Knight by L.J. Shen is the sequel to Pretty Reckless from All Saints High series and I don't know much about this book and I do hope to see Luna in this book a lot. A LOT. She's one of the kids of the Sinners of Saint characters (the spin-off series' main characters are their kids)






I need to stop expecting things because Sempre by J.M. Darhower was a let down. There was so much hype over this book and I wanted to read a good mafia story but this was just... not it. Not to mention that a lot of characters seemed so bland to me.
Another was Romanov by Nadine Brandes. I was anticipating for this book but sadly, it was just another let down. This didn't live up to my excitement and mixing history and fantasy was a bad idea.






Twisted Pride by Cora Reilly had me going soft. This was definitely not how I expected it to be because the series is dark and the male main character here is literally the most merciless and insane one out of his brothers here so reading him being all soft and patient was just... WOW.






Karen M. McManus was all around my Goodreads timeline when she released One of Us is Lying but I never got around to reading the book until this year. It's such a good thriller/mystery book that had me on the edge and I can't wait for its sequel, One of Us is Next. Two Can Keep a Secret was the first book of hers I read and I loved it as well so I decided to read more.






Hmmm.. I didn't really have any nor did I have a crush like I did back then in my teen years butttttt Zayne from Storm and Fury is a close one. I have no idea what his personality is in The Dark Elements, the prequel series, but he was such a sweetheart and a gentleman in this book that had me swooning and sighing in "WHERE CAN I GET A ZAYNE" kind of way.






Oh look, Storm and Fury is here again... AS IT SHOULD BE. The book's just a favorite that I had to. And the main heroine, Trinity Marrow is definitely a favorite. Sassy, stubborn, full of wits, a big heart and badass at that. Seriously, the girl is hella strong and powerful. And she's quite the comedian too. Another favorite this year is Georgie Castle from Fix Her Up. She's not afraid to be herself and be expressive over the things she's passionate about. Yes, it hurt her that no one takes her seriously especially her family, but that didn't dim away Georgie's light.






"Cry" is a bit of a stretch.

More like "books that put me in such an emotional state". That's how I would like to put it.

A Five-Minute Life by Emma Scott played with my emotions especially during the last few chapters. I should've expected this from the author but I did not and well, here we are. Marriage for One by Ella Maise was a book that tackled on marriage between two strangers and Rose's sickness, and this just pulled my heartstrings throughout the story. It has the right amount of angst and sweetness. All Your Perfects by Colleen Hoover is another book that tackles about marriage, and it also tackles about the hardships of pregnancy. OKAY.. this had me tearing up but not to the point of crying. It was such an emotional ride that I had to take a breather at some point while reading.






I don't know what this meant by "happy" but We Hunt the Flame by Hafsah Faizal was such a treat to 2019. I miss reading YA fantasy like this. Hotshot Doc and Arrogant Devil by R.S. Grey were two of my favorite books by the author this year and I love how it made me feel. The romance was A+. R.S. Grey knows how to write enemies-to-lovers and hate-to-love that makes you feel the tension between the characters to the bones.






I bought The Forbidden Wish by Jessica Khoury in paperback format early this year because there was a sale. I've read this book in 2016 and I loved it and I'm so happy I finally have a physical copy. I read The Wicked Deep by Shea Ernshaw last year and I'm also happy as ever that I finally have my own physical copy of the book this year. At first I saw the paperback last year but I didn't get to buy it that time and when I went to another bookstore, they had the hardback copy. THE HARDBACK WAS SO PRETTY. Like when you remove the jacket cover, the cover for the book has the moon and stars on it in silver and it's soooooo pretty. I am weak for pretty covers. And not to mention that this book is one of my favorites ever so I win.5

I'm kinda skeptic over Taylor Jenkins Reid's books because they're too hyped and I don't really like to read a book when it's hyped af.. it would just make me expect a lot from the book and then be disappointed if ever the book didn't live up to my excitement and expectation.






Do comic books to film count because I've watched literally all of Marvel's releases so far in the first half of the year (and yes, I've read their respective comics).

Anyway, I've watched After. I haven't read the book and I don't know if I will but I did enjoy the movie even though it's the typical romance and really not new. Still I liked it.. leave me alone.....
